I first tried yoga in college but it just didn't stick. A few years later, a close friend of mine brought me to Tranquil Space and it was love at first flow, I haven't looked back since. I found that yoga gave me something that can be rare to find—acceptance no matter where I was mentally, physically, or emotionally on any given day—and was eager to share this gift with others.
I completed my 200-hour teacher training at Tranquil Space in the Spring of 2014 and now teach regularly at the Dupont Circle and Arlington studios. I am thankful for the Tranquil Space community and thrilled to be a part of the teacher team. I seek to create a warm, laid-back atmosphere in my classes, providing challenging sequences and offering lots of modifications so that each student can find their own individual practice. As a former dancer I love crafting playlists that guide students through each moment of class from the first movements to warm up the body to the last moments of stillness in savasana.
As a native of the DC area, I spend my time off the mat cheering on Washington sports teams, working on creative projects, trying new restaurants around the city, and catching shows at the 9:30 club.
